Discovering Downtown: 99 Park

by Paige Anderson | Dec 07, 2015

Sometimes date night can be a task in and of itself when trying to figure out the right restaurant to impress your significant other. The same goes for when you’re in search of the perfect place to host upcoming holiday parties. Tis’ the season after all, and with so many choices around Downtown Bellevue it’s hard to pick just one.

Upon walking into 99 Park you’ll immediately notice the polished wooden accents, open dining layout and a welcoming view into the kitchen. The perfect combination of casual and trendy. Executive Chef Quinton Stewart uses local Northwest ingredients to create dishes infused with global flare. For those who appreciate a good handcrafted cocktail, you’ll find classics like a lip-puckering Tom Collins or Old Fashion. They even offer Masterclasses where you can learn to make those cocktails by yourself in a public forum or a private one among colleagues and friends.

What’s a delicious cocktail if you don’t have the right dish to pair it with? 99 Park has a creative menu inviting their guests to enjoy fine dining in a casual, trendy setting in Downtown Bellevue. For those wanting to entice their palette, take a bite out of the Grilled Octopus. GrilledoctopusThis dish is accompanied with seared cauliflower, a charred eggplant puree and gochujang vinaigrette⎯ a Korean condiment made with red chilis, fermented soy beans, rice and salt. The vinaigrette adds a hint of spiciness, mild enough for even the most sensitive taste buds. The octopus itself is braised until it’s tender and then finished off on the grill.

No dinner would be complete without a sweet treat to finish it off. A 99 Park favorite is the Chocolate Ganache Tartlet. Made with an espresso pastry cream, Dulche de Leche and a homemade maple chantilly. Need we say more?

With meals like that it’s no wonder this time of year is particularly busy! Last holiday season 99 Park sold out of their private dining events for business parties, so make sure you book. Whether or not you can reserve a private party, the restaurant also offers catering to bring their menu to you.

99 Park is open daily to 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. with brunch on Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Happy hour is every day from 4 to 6 p.m. Right now, they also have a special offer for Bellevue Magic Season. When you show them your wristband from the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® card Ice Arena you receive 10 percent off of your bill at 99 Park! They are located on 99 102nd Ave Ne, minutes away from Bellevue Downtown Park. Find out more about their menu, private dining, holiday reservations and special promotions.
