The Bellevue Chamber Chorus, a 501(c)3 non-profit performing arts organization founded in 1984, is a mixed-voice adult chamber ensemble, performing three major concert series each season, encompassing a wide variety of choral literature from the classical standards and contemporary works to “world music,” Broadway hits, and vocal jazz. Coming on May 5th & 6th 2018, the Bellevue Chamber Chorus is proud to present a choral collaboration with another prominent local ensemble, the City Cantabile Choir, to present two exciting performances of the powerful Misa por la Paz y la Justicia, by legendary Argentine composer Ariel Ramirez.
About The Chorus
The Chorus frequently joins other choral and orchestral ensembles in performances of major masterworks by Mozart, Faure, Handel, Orff, Brahms, and other outstanding composers, some of them lesser known. They have also premiered commissioned works by both regional and nationally-known composers. They have released three CDs, performed in Carnegie Hall, toured throughout various countries in Europe, Sydney, Australia, performed in Carnegie Hall, and twice participated in an international choral festival in Powell River, British Columbia. Most recently, in July 2017, they provided seven concerts in southern France as part of the 2017 Festival International Choral en Provence.
