A Seasonal Twist From KidsQuest Children’s Museum

A Seasonal Twist From KidsQuest Children’s Museum

While pumpkin patches and corn mazes have taken over our social media feeds, KidsQuest Children’s Museum has been busy helping folks bring a bit of the season indoors! From their Virtual Fall Festival this week to upcoming holiday activities, KidsQuest continues to create unique ways to keep kids entertained and their minds growing.

With just a few days left, KidsQuest’s Virtual Fall Festival includes at-home fall-themed activities, a livestreamed concert and a silent auction to help parents support these unique offerings.  Kids can learn a bit of chemistry while making ooy-gooey mixtures from a “Spooky Kooky Concoction kit” – the kit comes with everything you need, with a corresponding online video to teach your kids.  Plus, stream a concert from award-winning children’s singer/songwriter Eric Ode on Friday night.

During the pandemic, it can be especially hard to keep children excited and learning. While the museum is closed to keep people safe, KidsQuest created virtual and at-home options to help parents bring a bit of fun indoors and keep those young minds learning.

“In a time when we are all so separated and connecting through screens, it is important to create opportunities that allow children to connect with their hands, minds, and bodies,” Jamie Bonnett, Director of Education at KidsQuest Children’s Museum said.

KidsQuest will also host their first-ever silent auction on Friday to wrap up the Fall Festival week. Featured items include a SunCove Family getaway, an Alaska Airlines “fly anywhere” package, custom KidsQuest packages and more! The silent auction will raise funds to help KidsQuest continue their work in the community.

Despite the global pandemic, KidsQuest has always made an effort to give back to the community and support families during these trying times. According to Putter Bert, President and CEO of KidsQuest Children’s Museum, this focus stems from the committed team of employees and volunteers behind KidsQuest.

“Finding ways to connect with our community literally brings joy to everyone who works at KidsQuest,” Bert said. “Building up, knocking down, creating and spinning around are all things we’ve done this year.”

Grab the entire family and enjoy front row seats to the concert from home, let your kids’ minds loose with at-home activities and help support KidsQuest through their silent auction. Get all the information on their website.

If you are unable to make it to the Virtual Fall Festival before it wraps up this week, don’t worry - KidsQuest will be sprinkling joy throughout the holiday season. And of course, their Gingerbread Candy Shoppe will arrive come December. We can’t wait!
