The Bellevue Downtown Association (BDA) has announced the return of its outdoor summer concert series, Bellevue Beats & Bites, featuring a lineup of 34 regional musicians, food trucks on most dates, and a new Thursday evening beer and wine garden. From June 7 to August 25, free live music performances at multiple gathering spaces in Downtown Bellevue provide the golden opportunity to relax and enjoy the summer.

This year's lineup includes a diverse collection of artists and genres, including Hawaiian music from Elias Kauhane, gritty blues & rock from Kim&Brian, Afro Cuban sounds from Mambo Cadillac and more.

Celebrating its 23rd year, the concert series will offer free live music every Wednesday and Friday from noon to 1:00 p.m. and a new Thursday beer & wine garden with rotating alcoholic selections and food trucks from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Happy hour sales will benefit various nonprofit partners.

Participating venues include Bellevue Connection Compass Plaza, Bellevue Square Fountain Court, The Spring District, Key Center, Skyline Tower, Bellevue Downtown Park Plaza, and Bellevue City Hall Plaza.

“Bellevue Beats and Bites offers a moment to step away from the noise of the workday into a relaxing and lively atmosphere.” said Mike Ogliore, BDA’s VP of Events and Operations. “The expanded Thursday happy hours allow us to amplify these talented local and regional musicians during an inviting time of day and benefit a variety of nonprofit partners in the area.”

Food trucks will be on-site Thursdays and Fridays, featuring some favorites including Paparepas Venezuelan Food, The People's Burger, Pie Bar Pie Truck and more. The BDA also encourages concert attendees to support traditional brick-and-mortar restaurants in Downtown Bellevue – with many close by to event locations.

“We’re grateful to the Washington Food Truck Association for partnering with us and providing an array of fan favorite bites,” Ogliore said. “The range of diverse food trucks matches well with our eclectic mix of musicians.”

Bellevue Beats & Bites is made possible by partners Amazon, the City of Bellevue, and 4Culture with media support from 425 Magazine. Together, these investments in Bellevue Beats & Bites help drive economic activity within Downtown Bellevue while providing an opportunity for live music celebrations and experiences.
