Lambert House

Partial net proceeds of the event registration fees will equally benefit Seattle Humane of Bellevue and Lambert House, a nonprofit organization that empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth through the development of leadership, social, and life skills in the greater Seattle, Washington area. This non-competitive 4K event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and plans to shine a spotlight on Eastside Pride PNW's mission to foster unity, celebrate diversity, and build bridges across communities.

“This event marks a significant milestone for both our organizations and the region,” said Corrinalyn Guyette, board vice-chair of Eastside Pride PNW. “We aim to bring together members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies. Paws & Pride is our opportunity to co-create a world where everyone feels seen, valued, celebrated and can experience a genuine sense of belonging.”

Seattle Humane's MaxMobile

Festivities will continue after the race with a dog costume contest, Seattle Humane's MaxMobile filled with adoptable pets, and numerous vendors and booths spotlighting pets and LGBTQIA+ local businesses and organizations. KidsQuest Children’s Museum will also be on-site with rainbow stomp rockets, a color mixing station, and giant bubbles. Participants will walk away with goodie bags that feature customized event bandanas – a memorable keepsake of this inaugural Pride event in the Heart of Bellevue – and more surprises.

"Symetra has a long history of fostering inclusivity and community connection. We are delighted to support this event that champions diversity, equity, and inclusion and provides visibility and representation for the LGBTQIA+ community and allies on the Eastside,” Trinity Parker, chief marketing officer and SVP at Symetra said. “We’re excited to partner with the Bellevue Downtown Association and Eastside Pride PNW to kick off Pride month in Bellevue. “

Paws & Pride is an inclusive event that welcomes all members of the community, from across the region, to kick off Pride month with this welcoming and joyful walk through the streets of downtown Bellevue. Color, pride and smiles are mandatory, pups are optional. Complimentary event parking will be available at Bellevue Library, conveniently located next to Ashwood Park.

“The Bellevue Downtown Association is honored to celebrate Pride on the Eastside and give back to nonprofits doing incredible work in the area. We’re grateful that so many community partners are joining in to make this inaugural event a success,” said BDA President Patrick Bannon.

The Paws & Pride Dog Jog & Walk is brought to the community thanks in part to supporting sponsor Symetra and media partners 425 Magazine and Warm 106.9.
