  • Mario Batali to Headline Hopelink's 21st Annual Luncheon, October 24th

    by Jenny Ngyuen | Oct 19, 2016

    Acclaimed restaurateur, chef, author and TV personality, Mario Batali will deliver the keynote address at Hopelink’s Reaching Out Benefit Luncheon.

    Monday, October 24th

    Meydenbauer Center
    11100 NE 6th St

    There is no charge to attend, but a minimum donation of $150 is suggested.

    Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, October 20th.

    Join Hopelink as they host their 21st Annual Reaching Out Luncheon, the social services agency’s largest annual fundraiser. The luncheon raised more than $1 million last year. The funds provided food, shelter, family development, transportation and job readiness skills for homeless and low-income families, children, seniors and people living with disabilities in the North and East King County.

    This year’s keynoter, Mario Batali is a Seattle native and perhaps best known for his fleece vest, baggy Bermuda shorts and orange Crocs. He is a philanthropist and social activist whose passion for food is matched only by his commitment to feeding people in need.

    He created the Mario Batali Foundation in 2008 to ensure that children are “well read, well fed and well cared for,” and is a staunch supporter of nutrition education programs and ensuring emergency food resources for low-income families. Batali also supports the New York Food Bank and The Lunchbox Fund, which provides food for vulnerable children in rural South Africa.

    Currently appearing as a host of ABC’s “The Chew,” Batali is the author of 10 cookbooks. Release of his next book: “Mario Batali – Big American Cookbook,” will coincide with his Hopelink appearance.

    For more information, contact Tanya Quaife at 425-897-3705 or go to Hopelink.org.

    With this app, you can report anything that may relate to other peoples’ concerns such as property zoning, public records, code violations, graffiti clean-up, potholes and burned out street lights. It lets you quickly submit inquiries, receive status updates and support other requests. In addition, MyBellevue gives you updates on fixes, responds to questions and provides feedback.

     More features include:

    • Easily report issues in the moment;
    • Attach a photo and use GPS to locate issues;
    • Track reported issues;
    • Quickly access city news, events and jobs; and
    • Easily connect with the city’s social media.

    The App does not replace current methods, but it makes access to city services more convenient. You are still able to report issues on website, by phone and use previous procedures. MyBellevue is also available on the city website as a customer assistant portal.

    MyBellevue is available in the App Store, Google Play, Blackberry World and the Windows Store.
