by Seattle Refined | Dec 04, 2015

As December begins and the holiday season kicks into high gear, Bellevue has transformed into a winter wonderland for all ages. If you're an Eastsider you know, "Bellevue Magic Season" is quite the site to behold.

With activities happening nearly every night, here is our guide of all that is going on so that you don’t miss one ounce of the magic!

Magic Season Ice Arena. Is it really the holidays if you don’t go ice skating? From November 27 to January 10, experience the region’s largest open-air holiday rink (but don’t worry, there is a cover just in case that Seattle rain catches up with us)! With family skate days and theme nights happening regularly, this is one event you can visit again and again. And afterward, warm up with some hot chocolate and seasonal treats at one of their concession stands.

Snowflake Lane and Celebration Lane. Happening at 7 p.m. nightly on Bellevue Way, enjoy everyone’s favorite holiday parade featuring dancers, drummers, twinkling lights, and even falling snow! This lively tradition runs from November 27 to December 24 and be sure to share your magical memories using #SnowflakeLane! Following this Christmas spectacular, trade in the falling snow for falling bubbles and come back to experience Celebration Lane. This equally exciting parade is dedicated to celebration of New Year’s Eve and runs from December 26 to December 31.

The Theatre at Meydenbauer Center. This year take in one of the many holiday productions showing during the Bellevue Magic Season running from November 27 through December 23. Shows include Evergreen City Ballet’s The Nutcracker and Ballet Bellevue’s Handel’s Messiah. Support these local performing arts groups and experience one of these beautiful holiday classics!

Enchanted Holidays Shops. If you’re looking for events to entertain your little ones, look no further! Among the many events, the highlight for your kids will surely be Santa. After all, what would a trip to Bellevue Magic Season be without a traditional photo with Santa Claus? Pack up the kids and head to The Bravern for your chance to enjoy the fun from November 19 to December 24.

Family Gingerbread House Workshops. This weekend only, November 27 and 28, the KidsQuest Children’s Museum is hosting workshops on how to make the perfect gingerbread house! Featuring a buffet of candy and mess you don’t have to clean up, this event is sure to be a hit. Register online today before all the spots fill up.
