Neighborhood Leadership Gathering

"Behind the Scenes" with Bellevue Utilities

If you’ve ever been curious what happens “behind the scenes” with Bellevue Utilities, don’t miss this chance to meet the people who make it all happen! Utilities staff work hard to provide clean drinking water and safe disposal of waste water.  Their efforts keep our storm drains clear and our lakes and streams healthy.  Learn how they use new technologies to improve delivery of utility services and how the City maintains aging pipes and drains, and makes sure you get some of the safest and best drinking water.  This is not your typical Thursday night and will be a memorable experience not to be missed!
A short presentation by Utilities Director, Nav Otal; titled “Invisible Systems – Visible Benefits”, will highlight the value of water and give you an inside look at Bellevue Utilities.   Residents should dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes to participate in the “behind the scenes” tours of themed stations including recycling, capital programs, storm water education,  and water, storm water and wastewater operations.
Neighborhood Outreach and the City of Bellevue Utilities team invite residents to join this first-hand look at utilities operations at the semi-annual Neighborhood Leadership Gathering on Thursday, September 13, 6-8:30 p.m., at the Bellevue Service Center, 2901-115th Ave. NE, Bellevue.  The evening includes a light dinner and a chance to mix and mingle with Utilities staff.
The Neighborhood Leadership Gathering is a semi-annual gathering of neighborhood leaders who come together to share and learn from each other.  Anyone invested in the health and quality of life in their Bellevue neighborhood is welcome.  Space is limited to the first 80 people who RSVP to neighborhoodoutreach@bellevuewa.gov or call 425-452-6836 .  Driving and parking directions will be sent upon RSVP.
