Music Work Northwest is excited to host a very special conversation and Q&A with legendary fiddler/violinist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and music educator Mark O’Connor. With a sold-out book-release concert at the Triple Door this will be a unique opportunity to hear Mark, talking about his new memoir, Crossing Bridges, storied musical career, Seattle upbringing and the importance of multi-instrument music education.

Mark O’Connor’s musical journey has been like no other, melding Country, Classical and Jazz musical influences into a new American classical music, while establishing and perpetuating his vision of an American School of String Playing.   Join them for stories from his memoir, the personal triumphs, struggles and demons that informed the decisions he made about his music, career path and the risks he was willing to take for a shot at the brass ring.

Music Works Northwest is a non-profit community music school, offering music lessons on the most extensive selection of musical instruments and voice and the largest music therapy program in the State of Washington for students of all ages and skill levels including performance experiences. Our mission is to change lives through accessible music education and experiences.
