Embark on a family-friendly, 3.5-mile guided hike through Newcastle’s historic Coal Creek area, where Washington’s mining past meets the forested present. Along this outdoor adventure, participants explore the hidden history of coal mining, observe how nature has reclaimed the land, and appreciate the vibrant ecosystem of native plants and wildlife that now thrive in this restored landscape.
