Help Eastside Baby Corner (EBC) Spread the Word on Diaper Need
During Diaper Need Awareness Week and All Year Long

Diaper Need Awareness Week
September 24 - 30, 2018

ISSAQUAH - Giving diapers to families in need is really important. Help Eastside Baby Corner (EBC) spread that message during Diaper Need Awareness Week, September 24th – 30th, 2018. There are a so many ways that this can be done.

You can follow EBC on Facebook and Twitter as we share stories of families impacted by diaper need and ways that we can all work together to help local families thrive. Other ways to help include, organize a diaper drive, sign up your company or organization for EBC’s 2019 Diaper Derby or make a financial donation toward purchasing diapers.

“Giving a family diapers means that the parents have more money for rent, food, medical bills, energy bills – the basic necessities of life. At the same time, supplying a family with diapers means they can change diapers often enough to keep their baby healthy and comfortable. We often take so much for granted. But our clients do not.” Quote from Nancy, an agency partner provider of EBC.

There are currently more than 5 million infants and toddlers living in low-income families, many of whom face a daily struggle to secure a necessary supply of diapers. EBC can help families like these by providing access to diapers through donations and collection drives. Visit our Diaper Need page on our website at www.babycorner.org to learn more about why giving diapers to families in need is so important.

You can make a difference and help end diaper need for families in need in our community.

About EBC
EBC helps kids thrive by providing basic necessities for children so that EBC’s partners — schools, human service agencies, food banks, hospitals--can help families become stable, safe, housed, fed and employed. Relying almost exclusively on volunteers, EBC takes in donations of children’s clothing and goods from the community and supplements donations with purchases of the absolute essentials for children we guarantee to provide: baby food, formula, car seats, pack n’ plays and diapers. As the vital safety net under family-assistance providers and families, EBC annually distributes over 70,000 health and care items for kids from birth to age 12 directly to agencies in King, south Snohomish, Kitsap and west Pierce counties. Volunteers contribute an average of 2,700 hours each month at the Issaquah Hub, EBC – West Sound and EBC – Northshore. Founded by pediatric nurse practitioner, Karen Ridlon in 1990, EBC helps more than 800 children each week. Connect with us: find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/eastsidebabycorner.
