The Bellevue Jazz & Blues Music Series welcomes Karin Kajita and Al Shabino.

Karin is a gifted jazz and classical pianist who has made her home in the Northwest for most of her life. She has a repertoire of approximately 1000 tunes across a variety of genres including jazz, classical, contemporary, Latin, tango, ragtime and novelty. Karin attended the University of Washington with degrees in music, piano performance and music education. After graduating, Karin became the recipient of two Milnor Roberts scholarships, two Bainbridge Music and Art scholarships, and an Artist Support Grant from Jack Straw Productions. She was awarded first place in the professional national division of the Golden Key Music Festival for her composition, "Confluence" and will travel to Vienna this July to perform at the festival.
