Legislative Kickoff
Each January, the legislative kickoff marks the start of the legislative year on the Eastside. This year, the kickoff will feature members of the Washington State Legislature representing East King County to discuss policy priorities and expectations for the upcoming session. This year’s event will include two mainstage panels focusing on Housing and Transportation as well as
breakout rooms exploring Budget and Tax Policy and Economic Revitalization. Each panel will feature a slate of legislators and the following moderators:
• Housing moderated by Eddie Change, Founder of the Chang Group
• Budget & Tax Policy moderated by Al Ralston, Vice President at Gordon Thomas Honeywell
• Economic Revitalization moderated by Karen McKnight, Managing Broker at Keller Williams
• Transportation moderated by East King Chambers Coalition Chair Ryan McIrvin, Renton City
Councilmember and Assistant Director of Government & Community Relations at UW Bothell
A complete list of the legislators and moderators will continue to be updated and is available at the website below and through the events platform. The Coalition is pleased to open this event to all who are interested in the legislative process, including business owners and operators, non-profit leaders and educators, local elected officials, and members of the general public. General admission tickets are $20 per person or $150 for a virtual table of 10.
