Fern Spores is a femme-folk-rock force from Olympia, WA, delivering raw, electrifying performances with gritty guitar leads, haunting fiddle lines, and powerhouse harmonies. Fronted by singer-songwriter Alyssa Nunke and lead guitarist Jade Kovats, the all-woman band blends vintage psych-folk, garage rock, and soulful Americana into a sound that’s angsty yet uplifting, whimsical yet fierce. Inspired by icons like Janis Joplin and Alabama Shakes, Fern Spores channels the spirit of rock with a modern, unapologetic edge. Their debut album, recorded at the world-renowned WAM studio, dropped on June 7, 2024, marking them as a bold new voice in the indie music scene.
