In the lush and vibrant Pacific Northwest, Lady A ~ The Real Lady A, has carved out a musical legacy that is as enduring as the ancient forests that surround her Seattle home. Often likened to the electrifying Tina Turner and the soulful Chaka Khan, Lady A has been a formidable presence in the music world for over two decades. With a radiant smile and a voice as comforting and powerful as warm velvet, she has become a beloved figure both locally and internationally.

Lady A’s performances are more than just concerts; they are electrifying experiences that combine high energy with profound storytelling. Each show is a celebration of life, imbued with messages of love, empowerment, and community. Her music, rooted in the deep traditions of blues soul and gospel, resonates with the audience, turning every performance into a joyful and empowering gathering. Like a masterful pot of gumbo, her concerts are rich, varied, and best experienced with all senses fully engaged.

Lady A’s impact extends beyond her music. Her contributions to the blues community have not gone unnoticed, with multiple nominations and awards from the Washington Blues Society in 2020, 2021, 2022, including Female Blues Performer and Vocalist of the Year; Best In Blues.  And more recently named, 2025  recipient of the 1st Legendary Patti Allen Performer of the Year Award by the Washington Blues Society.

Lady A’s influence reaches far beyond the stage. Through Lady A Productions, she has been a driving force in bringing live Blues and Gospel performances to Seattle, while also dedicating herself to philanthropy by raising funds for homelessness and shelters. Her commitment to community service is as strong as her dedication to the arts, evidenced by her long-standing role as the MC at the Winthrop Rhythm & Blues Festival All-Star Jam and her decade-long membership in the Methow Valley Juke Joint All-Stars band.

On the airwaves, Lady A continues to inspire and entertain as a host on Walter Trout Blues-Rock radio station on the True Grit Roots Network (TGRN). Her shows, “Lady A’s Gumbo N Gospel” and “Lady A’s Black N Blues (the B side),” are a testament to her deep musical knowledge and passion for sharing it with the world. Additionally, her dedication to uplifting women in the blues is evident in her hosting of Fierce Female Friday's on TGRN every 4th Friday of the month, where she aims to inspire both upcoming and seasoned female artists in the blues genre.  She is a teaching artist within the Rhapsody Project organization in Seattle, teaching Blues in the Schools,  Vocal Technique and inspiring students to learn more about the industry than just singing, learn so they can teach and reach, those in the community.

Dubbed “The Hardest Workin' Woman in Blues, Soul, Funk, and Gospel,” Lady A wears this title with pride, embodying the messages of empowerment and love that she shares through her music. Her life’s motto, “Be Blessed and Be A Blessing,” is a true reflection of her journey, one marked by melody, heart, and an unwavering commitment to using her voice and platform to uplift others.
