Naomi Wachira, a Kenyan-born singer-songwriter based in Yakima, WA weaves storytelling and spiritual depth into a tapestry of vulnerability and self-ownership in her music. Her sound, an intuitive blend of Afro-folk and soul, is as fluid as it is grounded.

After a long creative hiatus due to burnout, midlife unraveling, and personal transformation, Naomi returns with her most self-defined work yet: An Anthology on Love. This six-song EP explores the landscape of love through various lenses, including heartbreak, hope, longing, grief, and ultimately, healing.

The project is entirely self-produced, a milestone in Naomi’s career that reflects her shift toward trusting her own voice. The EP opens with New Beliefs, an anthem of self-discovery born from the realization that recurring relationship patterns stem from internalized beliefs about self-worth. It transitions through the raw honesty of Never Again, a powerful lesson in trusting intuition after ignoring red flags, and the hopeful blueprint of Good for Both of Us, which articulates a mature vision for reciprocal partnership. The collection then delves into the poignant ache of loss with Missing You, a universal exploration of grief and the fear of forgetting, followed by the unique introspection of Don't Forget Me, a vulnerable cry for self-reconnection during a significant life transition. The EP culminates with I Only Wish You Well, a brave and compassionate farewell to a good relationship that, while formative, is no longer aligned with evolving needs.

Naomi’s work resonates with anyone navigating the intersections of identity, gender, spirituality, and belonging. With this release, she steps forward not just as a singer but also as a producer and woman in full creative agency.
