Brahms tapped into a lucrative vein when composing a set of Liebeslieder Waltzer (“Lovesong Waltzes”) in 1868. They were so popular that Brahms’s publisher requested a second set.
These audience favorites have since been adopted by choruses worldwide, but the Emerald Ensemble will present them as originally intended, for four solo voices and piano four-hands. Our four soloists will also sing a bouquet of art-songs on the subject of love. This is a Valentine’s Day event to cherish forever, which includes a glass of wine, chocolates, and flowers on your table!
