Featuring Music Works faculty members Suzanne Feinstein, Lori Shepherd, and members of the Pacific Sound Woodwind Quintet.

Residing in Seattle since 2012, Lori Shepherd is a freelance musician and private music instructor specializing in woodwinds. She holds a Masters degree in Clarinet performance from the University of Utah, and has performed around the world in various ensembles on a dizzying assortment of instruments, from saxophone in Shanghi as a performer at the World Expo 2010 to bass clarinet in a Harlem as part of the Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival. She performs regularly in the Seattle area as a member of Seattle Women’s Jazz Orchestra, Pacific Sound Woodwind Quintet, Salsa Rosa, Mood Swings Jazz Ensemble, the Seattle Ensign Symphony and Chorus, Smith-Staelens Big Band, and the Northwest Clarinet Choir. Putting her versatility as a woodwind doubler to good use, Lori has performed in over 50 musicals (which often calls for playing up to five different instruments per show), including productions at Seattle Musical Theater, the Village Kidstage, and Showtunes Theatre Company at Benaroya Hall. In addition to teaching private lessons since 2000, she also taught junior high band and orchestra as a public school teacher before moving to Seattle.
