Despite patriarchal prohibitions on women making music in the public sphere, 17th century Italy saw a flourishing of music behind convent walls, where nuns composed, published, and performed sacred music that blended deep spirituality with richly sensual poetic and musical imagery.

Sopranos, Linda Tsatsanis, and Brenna Wells, join baroque cellist, Nathan Whittaker, and organist, Henry Lebedinsky, for music from the mystical to the ecstatic by Chiara Margarita Cozzolani, Maria Peruchona, Isabella Leonarda, and more.
