We often hear, "I know what I like, but I'm not sure how to describe it." Tasting a wine requires a systematic approach so you can make sense of the aromas and flavors you’re smelling and tasting. In fact, the aromas you get from a wine are the most important part of tasting. The taste buds in your mouth can detect five distinct flavors (sweet, sour, spicy, bitter and umami), while you can distinguish over a trillion different scents.
This Saturday, we'll focus on the process of tasting wine. Alongside some lovely red and white wines, we'll have bowls of the fruits, herbs and other aromatics to help you analyze and describe the wines.
$12 Tasting Fee, includes 10% off purchases. Validated parking available in the rear garage. No reservation needed.
