Bellevue’s Top 5 Cake Shops for Every Occasion

What’s a party without cake? From weddings to birthdays to graduation ceremonies, upgrade any celebration with an extravagant cake that satisfies your sweet tooth. Here are five shops serving some of the best slices (or whole cakes!) Downtown has to offer.

1. Belle Pastry

Belle Pastry has offered delicious sweets to the downtown community for over a decade, serving cakes made with high-quality ingredients for every occasion. Order their rich chocolate mousse cake if you're looking to indulge, or stick with their lighter Génoises, a sponge cake made with melted butter incorporated into the batter.

2. Cafe Trophy at The Bravern

While primarily known for their cupcakes, Cafe Trophy has a long line of glittery and colorful cakes. Desserts are baked from scratch with the same exquisite ingredients and love as their famous cupcakes. For chocolate lovers, try their 24-karat chocolate cake made with rich Belgian chocolate buttercream crowned with glittering treats like macarons and pretzels. All cakes need to be ordered two days in advance, see their website for options.

3. Sugar N Flakes Bakery

Sugar N Flakes Bakery is home to a team of talented professional chefs who create the ultimate fusion of delicious taste and style. They offer over 20 cake flavors like pink champagne and pumpkin. Can’t get enough of the sugary goodness?  Enroll in their training classes, where you can learn how to bake with a professional guide.

4. Pinkabella Cupcakes

Pinkabella Cupcakes' story began when owner Margo Engberg found a love for making cupcakes with her grandma and mother. They now have four locations across the Pacific Northwest. Their desserts are fun and playful, from over-the-top chocolate dipped strawberry cake to a Margo-rista cake, a spin-off of the classic margarita cocktail.

5. Lady M Cake Boutique

Initially, Lady M planned to end their pop-up in Bellevue Square on February 28, but due to popular demand they’re extending their stay! Lady M marries French pastry techniques with Japanese sensibilities, resulting in a light and fluffy cake with a touch of sweetness. Stick with their signature nine-inch round Mille Crêpes or try out their more unique flavors like green tea checker and earl grey cake.
