Eco German Kitchens Brings European-Inspired Design to GIS Plaza

Eco German Kitchens recently completed a luxury cabinetry project inside GIS Plaza, helping bring elevated European-inspired design to one of Downtown Bellevue’s distinctive residential properties.
Located in the heart of downtown, GIS Plaza is known for its rounded architectural design, floor-to-ceiling windows, and proximity to destinations like the Bellevue Library, parks, shopping, and dining. Eco German Kitchens was selected to design, supply, and install custom German cabinetry for 12 apartment homes and three penthouses throughout the building.
The project included both kitchen and bathroom spaces, with a focus on balancing modern aesthetics with everyday functionality. Clean lines, thoughtful storage solutions, and high-quality German-made materials helped create interiors that feel refined while remaining practical for daily living.
The work was led by Natalie Ivashkina, owner and lead designer of Eco German Kitchens, who guided the project from concept through installation. With more than a decade of experience in kitchen and cabinetry design, Ivashkina continues to study with leading European designers each year, bringing new ideas and design perspectives back to projects in Bellevue and the surrounding region.
In addition to its design philosophy, Eco German Kitchens also emphasizes sustainability through partnerships with German manufacturers that prioritize responsible production standards, recyclable materials, sustainable forestry practices, and low-emission materials that support healthier indoor environments.
"After a project like GIS Plaza, it is easy to see what Eco German Kitchens is really about," says Ivashkina. "We do not simply sell cabinets. We create custom living spaces that combine European design, German quality, and practical functionality. We handle the process from design and planning to supply and installation, so clients have one experienced team guiding the project from start to finish."
The completed residences at GIS Plaza reflect the company’s broader approach to design: creating spaces that are not only visually striking, but also functional, personalized, and built to enhance everyday living in Downtown Bellevue.
