Paddy Coyne's: Downtown Bellevue's Favorite Irish Pub

Take the 2 Line to Downtown Bellevue’s favorite Irish pub!

Adorned on the walls of Paddy Coyne's are displays of pastime relics, weathered photographs, and Gaelic sayings that continue to highlight the restaurant's essence of Ireland.  Co-owner Jenny Corry and her family said they are proud to show off their Irish heritage to the Downtown community through their menu and atmosphere.

“Our menu tells you exactly who we are,” Jenny Corry said. “We specialize in crafting Irish and American favorites from scratch. When you come into Paddy Coyne’s, you’ll find a curated selection of whiskey, imported beers, locally brewed beverages and of course, our must-try proper pint of Guiness.”

The authenticity Paddy Coyne’s provides in their service started from Founder Pat Coynes, who migrated by Galway, Ireland to Boston, and eventually moved to Seattle in 1992 where he opened the first Paddy Coyne’s Irish Pub. The establishment moved to South Lake Union, Tacoma and finally in 2009, they eventually settled in Downtown Bellevue.

Today, Jenny and her husband Dan Corry, are the sole owners of Paddy Coyne’s. Their Irish background is key to the evolution of the community’s favorite Irish pub. Taken from meals they’ve enjoyed growing up, the Corry’s have added their own family recipes to the menu, including their signature Shepard’s Pie, Bangers & Mash and Corned Beef.

Their choice to continue doing business in the Heart of Bellevue is linked to Downtown’s dynamic environment, strategic location, and strong customer base.

“Downtown Bellevue is our home,” Jenny Corry stated. “This place offers a vibrant community, excellent foot traffic, and a supportive local ecosystem that can’t be replicated."

In the future, those in the community and longtime fans of Paddy Coyne’s will begin seeing a marketing partnership with the newly-built InterContinental Hotel across the street – aligning well with their community vision of working closely with nearby businesses.

“Whether it's through offering neighboring apartments and hotels discounts or lending a hand when needed, we're committed to contributing positively to the vibrant Downtown Bellevue community,” Jenny Corry said.

Their recent participation in our Ride2Downtown campaign further shows their investment in the community. Jenny Corry states that the opening of the 2 Line on the Eastside presents exciting opportunities for both residents and businesses alike. It enhances accessibility, encourages economic growth, and promotes sustainability by offering efficient public transportation options.

“As a business in Downtown Bellevue, we're enthusiastic about the positive impact it will have on the local community and our customers' experiences,” Jenny said, “hop on the train and stop by to experience a taste of Ireland.”
