Bellefleur Flips the Script on Lingerie in the Heart of Bellevue

Comfort and sensual style are on a level playing field for Lindsey Runyon, owner and manager of lingerie boutique Bellefleur. Several weeks ago, she opened a new Bellevue pop-up location on 103rd Ave just off Main Street – opening doors to a fervor of appreciative shoppers ready for a thoughtful, signature experience.

Bras that go beyond the frill can work some cosmic fashion magic, which Lindsey believes empowers the wearer beneath the surface. Behind her embrace of beauty for every occasion, she has made helping customers bolster confidence a tour de force.

The products themselves also help inspire a new lease on life! Camisoles from the Simply Perfect loungewear line are displayed alongside bridal intimates and every unmentionable in between. Grounded in a bright, spacious storefront, Bellefleur offers an atmosphere that eases what can be an uncomfortable shopping trip for some women, all in an unpretentious environment.

The store also focuses on unique and consciously crafted brands sourced from vendors in France, Turkey, Italy, and even within the U.S. Her selections are varied and highly sought after, which she rotates on a weekly basis to welcome new arrivals. Once a product leaves the shelf, it’s gone, Lindsey said. Though if a customer adores a certain piece, they could elect to start a personal wish list that Lindsey personally reviews and peruses the market to request new shipments.

Prior to COVID-19, she sampled ensembles from international conventions and selected merchandise from indie exhibitions by hand, dialed in on the specific consumer experience she wanted to offer her clientele. As far as inventory goes, she never compromises price point for caliber, though there are plenty of affordable options and promotions to browse!

And while a global health and humanitarian crisis has precluded business as usual, unintended benefits have also cropped up in the upshot. An individually customizable subscription box, has not only filled a vital revenue stream but continued to introduce an element of surprise and excitement each month for registered club members. After an initial consultation to gauge measurements, suitable styles and other preferences, Lindsey and her associates hand-curate a selection of delicates that arrive at your door. Products are exchangeable, according to its standard return policy, and whatever the customer isn’t satisfied with can be returned at no additional charge.

Alongside a revamped ecommerce experience, Bellefleur seized another opportunity to expand its reach and meet customers on the homefront. Downtown Bellevue struck Lindsey as a perfect second location to follow its flagship store in Fremont, which has had an active presence in the community for 18 years. Between demographic appeal, a vibrant locale and bountiful network of neighboring independent boutiques, Lindsey said growing her entrepreneurial roots in Bellevue seemed like the clear choice.

Above all, Lindsey expressed her eagerness to exercise her fashion intuition with clients in person again, and to eventually see the space filled with customers safely mingling and socializing with COVID-19 in the rearview mirror.

For a limited time, check out bargain deals on swimwear for those balmy summer months around the corner… oh, and speak to an associate about redeeming a 10% discount by mentioning the Bellevue Downtown Association during your next in-person shopping spree! Store hours are currently noon until 6 p.m. from Tuesday through Saturday. Enjoy!
