Person Behind the Place:
Jim Berreth

Project Executive  |  Hermanson Company

When he's not on a commercial building rooftop, Jim Berreth can be found exploring the #HeartofBellevue. We chatted with this Hermanson Company account executive for his take on Bellevue's growth, and why he loves our city.

What do you love about Downtown Bellevue?
As an Account Executive for a mechanical contractor, I've watched the City of Bellevue grow over the last two decades. Bellevue impresses me as a model for growth, providing opportunities for community engagement, remaining business-friendly, and continuing to maintain and preserve open spaces. I consider Bellevue to be the standard for growth in Washington state.

What value does Hermanson Company bring to Downtown Bellevue?
I work within Hermanson’s Owner Direct Projects (ODP) group to provide building owners, facility managers, and building engineers solutions that balance building performance and occupant comfort. The ODP Group acts as the owner’s advocate – researching rebate and financing options and achieving operational savings through energy upgrades and reduced maintenance costs.

Favorite places to SHOP in Bellevue?
I spend a disproportionate amount of my free time with my daughter shopping at Bellevue Square trying to be the cool dad.

Where do you like to HANG OUT in Bellevue?
I've had the opportunity to be on the rooftop of most of Bellevue’s high-rise buildings and have watched the expansion into the Spring District and beyond. However, my favorite spot in Bellevue has been on a blanket in the Downtown Park watching the Bellevue Family 4th fireworks show.
