Sip Away Under the Sun: Perfect Patios in the Heart of Bellevue

It’s really feeling like July now that the sun has made its way to the Eastside! While social distancing guidelines are in place, you can still take advantage of a fantastic afternoon or evening out – we picked a few of our favorite patios for you to take in the good weather with great food and drinks.

Bake’s Place Bar & Bistro
Whether you’re grabbing happy hour with a colleague or enjoying a much-needed date night with your loved one, make sure you check out Bake’s Place Bar and Bistro. It’s a popular spot to grab a cocktail while feasting your eyes on mouthwatering food (the Goat Cheese Gnocchi will blow your mind). There’s something for everyone, and while you’re there, enjoy frequent live music performances to liven up the ambiance. Their most important claim to fame? Bake’s has the biggest patio seating in the Northwest, ensuring a perfect socially distanced setting for your venture out.

Gilbert’s on Main
If you’re one to gather a food mood board, Gilbert’s is for you. Craving delicious matzo ball soup? Done. How about a rich lox platter? Gilbert’s has you covered. Located in Old Bellevue, the imaginative deli-esque spot is a local breakfast and lunch destination, making it a perfect spot for Sunday brunch or a midday pick me up (did we forget to mention they have a coffee bar?). Given the hefty (yet generous!) portions, come hungry, split a dish, or take home leftovers!

Carmine’s
We’ve never met anyone who was anti-antipasti. That’s precisely why at Carmine’s, it’s almost necessary to start your outing with their famous burrata; a fresh and creamy melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella served with seasonal vegetables. Nestled across from Bellevue Park and located in Old Bellevue, Carmine’s is Bellevue’s sister restaurant to II Terrazzo Carmine, one of Seattle’s most iconic and prized establishments. It’s a perfect patio setting – make sure to stop by and bask in the sun while you enjoy a meal or pair your favorite white wine with their heavenly tiramisu.

There are many more dining destinations open and excited to see you. Wherever you go, get Downtown, dine al fresco, and enjoy!
