The Meadow Opens in Downtown Bellevue, Creating a New Outdoor Gathering Space
April 29, 2026 - by Bellevue Downtown Association
On Monday, April 27, Downtown Bellevue welcomed a new public gathering space as community leaders, city officials and Amazon representatives gathered to celebrate the opening of The Meadow, a new outdoor destination located across from the Bellevue Transit Center and adjacent to Amazon’s B600 building.
The 1.75-acre public open space and art installation is located in Downtown Bellevue across the Bellevue Transit Center and adjacent to the B600 tower at 633 110Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98004
The ribbon-cutting celebration marked an exciting milestone for Downtown Bellevue as the city continues to grow through new public spaces, expanded transit access and community-focused programming.
Amazon Vice President of Global Real Estate and Facilities Sean Lee kicked off the event with opening remarks, highlighting the vision behind The Meadow before joining local leaders for an official ribbon cutting ceremony.
Designed as a welcoming outdoor space in the heart of Downtown, The Meadow is already inviting visitors to slow down, gather and enjoy the outdoors through its first seasonal activation: Swing Into Spring.
The colorful installation encourages visitors to stop by, enjoy the space and take in spring in Downtown Bellevue. Guests attending the opening celebration were among the first to experience the activation while enjoying interactive experiences throughout the afternoon.
Attendees created custom floral bouquets courtesy of Flora Grand and enjoyed food and refreshing drinks from Bellden Café. And this is just the beginning.
Amazon plans to activate The Meadow regularly with programming designed to bring people together throughout the year.
Starting June 3, visitors can enjoy the Made in Bellevue series, which will bring recurring programming to the space. The Meadow will also serve as a host location for select dates of Bellevue Downtown Association’s Live at Lunch concert series this summer.
The opening celebration may have marked The Meadow’s debut, but the real excitement is still ahead. With the Made in Bellevue series launching June 3 and Live at Lunch events planned throughout the summer, The Meadow is quickly becoming one of Downtown Bellevue’s newest gathering places.
Stay tuned for upcoming events and programming announcements.
