Where to Search for Delicious Grub: Our Rainy Day Recommendations

While another bout of restrictions have gone into effect in an effort to keep us safe, restaurants, bars and other dining establishments are now limited to outdoor service, contactless take-out, curbside pick-up and delivery options. So, support your favorite local joints, (consider offering up a little extra gratuity) and spread the word about these exclusive offers on scrumptious, comforting food found in the Heart of Bellevue. We rounded up a collection of places to consider for your dinner cravings during these colder evenings - here are a few of our latest favorites:

Paddy Coyne’s Irish Pub

Complemented by hospitable staff and an inviting atmosphere, Paddy Coyne’s offers classic Irish fare and tender American favorites served with an irresistible charm in “a warm spot for a cool pint, and a tasty meal,” as proclaimed on its website. Lunch specials like the Ultimate Grilled Cheese Sandwich or the Guinness BBQ Chicken Wrap are available at a reduced price Monday - Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Between Bangers & Mash, Corned Beef and Cabbage or a Savory Lamb Pot Pie, your appetite (and trousers) will certainly have their work cut out with these generous portions and brimming glasses. For a limited time, order McConnell’s five year Irish whiskey for $9, named the sponsored variety of the month. Consider grabbing a gift certificate, merchandise, or select cocktails and bottles to pair with your delectable grub!

13 Coins Bellevue

Too swamped with everything on your plate to plan a Thanksgiving dinner? Splurge on a customary three-course feast at 13 Coins with your choice of butternut squash soup or green salad as an appetizer, followed by roasted turkey with housemade gravy, yukon gold mashed potatoes, green bean almondine, sage stuffing, candied yams with toasted marshmallows and cranberry sauce with orange zest. For dessert, choose between a satisfying pumpkin pie or apple cobbler. Meal reservations are accepted until November 19 only by phone. Chicken parmesan and staple breakfast dishes like omelets, egg scrambles and frittatas also come highly recommended by both managers and waitstaff! Dietary restrictions are accommodated with gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian alternatives. Peruse the take-out menu and place your order online to conveniently grab with curbside service.

Mediterranean Kitchen

With supremely fresh ingredients and a heavenly signature soup, rice and pita bread included in every meal, consider dining at Mediterranean Kitchen as an investment in both a satisfied and stuffed stomach. Whether you prefer to chow down on veggies or crave a carnivorous palette of grilled top sirloin beef, marinated chicken wings or lamb tenderloin, Mediterranean Kitchen has a thoughtfully curated and inclusive menu that caters to all customers. Choose from a smorgasbord of international specialties, from Tabouli, a traditional Lebanese salad tossed with chopped parsley, onions, tomatoes, or maybe a falafel, a middle eastern favorite comprised of ground, deep-fried garbanzo beans served on a bed of lettuce with green onions, radish, cucumbers and tomatoes and topped with tahini sauce.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka

Exceptional taste and culinary sensibilities are what separates Hokkaido Ramen Santouka from the crowd. To craft their signature tonkotsu broth, pork bones are simmered for about 20 hours, never boiled, until the mixture appears smooth and pearly white. In its humble beginnings, Hokkaido Ramen first caught wide attention and acclaim for its shio ramen, served with a small, pickled plum in a unique round bowl. Add a couple bento boxes to your online shopping cart, or a few appetizers and other small plates like Nori Shio Potatoes or Gyoza, pan-fried dumplings filled with minced pork and cabbage.

Andiamo Ristorante Italiano

Thanks to the sweet salvation of an extended Seattle Restaurant Week, slated to wrap on November 21, choose an appetizer, entree, and dessert for only $35 from the following options listed on Andiamo’s digital menu. Two delish choices to kick off your delish haul are Garden Insalata, organic mixed greens with tomatoes and cucumbers in balsamic vinaigrette, or Caesar Insalata, featuring chopped romaine hearts in classic caesar dressing with parmesan and homemade croutons. For the main course, select either Porcini Fettuccine, a vegetarian option, Spaghetti Carbonara, or Penne Pasta with Italian Sausage. Finish with a delightful treat, like an original tiramisu or Chocolate Mousse Imperiale drizzled with natural strawberry syrup.

Castilla Restaurant and Tapas Bar

Dying to escape the dreary weather? Send your taste buds on a journey to Castilla guided by authentic cuisine reimagined with a Pacific Northwest flair to its time-honored preparations. Browse a selection of over 40 different tapas, or small plates, and indulge in a renowned paella chock-full of saffron and local seafood, Serrano and Bellota Iberico cultured hams or rustic Spanish flatbreads baked in a hearth oven. Grab your next meal with curbside pick-up or choose delivery instead!
