See the region’s most festive show this year from Nov. 26 – Dec. 24! Snowflake Lane presented by The Bellevue Collection has always been a holiday staple in the heart of Bellevue. For years, Kemper Development Company wanted a nightly holiday event that would bring people from surrounding states to Downtown Bellevue to shop, dine and play. Jennifer Levitt, Kemper’s vice president of marketing, said Snowflake Lane is the perfect way to tie The Bellevue Collection together.

"We worked with a local set company to come with the now iconic drummers, street drums and snowflake lights to create the ultimate holiday event,” she said.

Due to the pandemic last year, Levitt and her team had to challenge themselves to find a way to bring some of the most important parts of the show to the community when they had no performers or parades. Snowflake lane was limited to lights, music and a snow show. This year, they’re back with new COVID-19 safety measures in place. You can expect the same snow falling, dazzling lights, festive music, performers and parade of holiday floats, but with a few modifications to keep everyone safe.

“This year, we won’t have our usual sidewalk meet and greet with the holiday characters for the safety of our performers," Levitt said. "The drummers, dancers and flag performers will be a part of the parade and the cast will be smaller to help socially distance everyone.”

Before COVID-19, Snowflake Lane was only canceled once during a windstorm that left Downtown Bellevue with no power. Levitt states even during the recession, the event went on giving everyone a chance to lighten their load and come together with no cost. As seen in years before, even with restrictions in place, Snowflake Lane will still provide that magical holiday experience everyone knows and loves.

“We are so thrilled to have them back as they are the heart and soul of Snowflake Lane,” Levitt said. “From a sidewalk show to what it is today, it’s amazing to see multi-generational families come every year and celebrate the holiday season with us. The event has always been a gift to the community and an opportunity to build traditions.”

More information about Snowflake Lane can be found on their website. Join The Bellevue Collection on the sidewalk between Bellevue Square and Lincoln Square every night at 7 p.m. until Christmas Eve, Dec. 24. During the show, please wear a mask and observe social distancing.
