Mobility Matters for Downtown Bellevue

Transportation and mobility are always top of mind for the BDA board and there are multiple ways for BDA Members to get involved.

Updating the BDA Downtown Access Strategy

The BDA Transportation Committee is hosting a series of meetings to update the BDA Downtown Access Strategy, a guiding document for transportation advocacy. The first meeting is scheduled for next Thursday. It’ll be a level-setting experience with City staff presenting information about mobility initiatives, challenges, and priorities. If you’ve always wanted to get engaged with transportation advocacy work, but never found the right opportunity, this is a great first meeting.

What Data is Telling Us About Mobility

The private and public sectors are aggressively collecting urban trip data, and it's creating a pool of information that is mapping aspects of travel behavior to and from Bellevue. But what does the data tell us about the big picture? How is the future of travel shaping up? Are we destined for more gridlock or do the numbers suggest a solution?

Join us at our upcoming September Breakfast as we unpack these questions and more. With over 30 years of experience as a leading mobility analyst, Mark Hallenbeck will shed light on what’s motivating individual travel decisions and how commuting is poised to change in Bellevue and the Puget Sound Region.
