Saybrook University was established to challenge the idea that human beings needed to be broken down into parts and isolated from the rest of the world to be understood. Instead, their founders declared that human beings are complex, and to understand them, one must understand the interconnectivity of everything that they experience. Committed to helping students achieve their full potential, the Saybrook community is deeply rooted in this humanistic tradition.
In March 2015 Saybrook University aligned its academic programs into two colleges focused on specific disciplines: College of Social Sciences and College of Integrative Medicine and Health Sciences.
